American animation series The Simpsons are notorious for having unusual predictions of future events and tragedies. Almost 16 years ago the television series eerily predicted Donald Trump?s victory as President of the United States of America.
The cartoon outlined the billionaire?s ascension to becoming the US President in an episode called Bart To The Future that aired in 2000.
“We’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump,” says Lisa Simpson, who is?called in to fix Trump’s resultant mess.
That is far from being the only case of an episode of The Simpsons reflecting future events. Other notable predictions include?the 9/11 event to ebola virus, and even, the Syrian crisis.
The most controversial of all the predictions is the 9/11 attacks. They were supposedly predicted in the 1997 episode ?The city of New York vs. Homer SImpson?. Lisa Simpson presents a magazine entitled New York in the episode.
Conspiracy theorists have it that the magazine?s cover alluded to the 9/11 attacks. The number 9 in bold lettering beside the Twin Towers resembling number 11 was a forewarning for the attacks on the World Trade Center back in 2001.
Another instance The Simpsons prediction is another episode from 2001 episode. Bart, Milhouse, Nelson, and Ralph form a boy band named the Party Posse. They make a hit track called ?Drop da Bomb.? In the music video, they drop a bomb on what appears to be an unknown Arab country. Eerily, the Syrian opposition flag is prominently displayed in the sequence.
Although many of these predictions turned out to be for tragedies, a great takeaway from the ?Bart to the Future? is that United States is to?have their first female president in 2020. Lisa Simpson is the one that takes charge as ?America?s first straight female president? from an outgoing President Trump.
Simpsons writer too suggested the same when he talked about the episode. Dan Greaney said the episode was meant as a warning to the American public.
?The important thing is that Lisa comes into the presidency when America is on the ropes, and that is the condition left by the Trump presidency,? the episode?s writer Greaney said. ?What we needed was for Lisa to have problems that were beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that?s why we had Trump be president before her.?
It seems before the United States will finally get have?its first woman president after Trump. But, before that, the nation is going to go insane. From the ashes of its troubles, a woman is supposed to pull the United States out. Hopefully, it seems entirely plausible given the calls over Michelle Obama to run Elections in 2020 are already doing rounds.
