Hideaki Anno’s Shin Godzilla and Neon Genesis Evangelion will face off in a concert. The event will be ?star-studded. It features the likes of Cruel Angel Thesis singer Yoko Takahashi and InuYasha composer Kaoru Wada. Rei Ayanami voice actress Megumi Hayashibara is also part of the much awaited Shin Godzilla and Evangelion mashup.
Of course, Shin Godzilla actor Satoru Matsuo will be present at the concert. The event will be held at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Shibuya. Mark your calendars on March 22 and March 23.
Fans can also look forward to the performance of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. It will deliver a performance with conductor Masamichi Amano.
Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony
Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony is expected to be a full orchestra event. It will feature all the songs we love from both the film and the anime series. Hayashibara and Matsuo will sing. The two will also serve as moderators.
Fans can avail their tickets for the Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony concert starting December 23. The prices for the tickets range from from 7,500 yen to 14,000 yen. There will be two performances to be held each day. There is an afternoon performance at 1PM JST and an evening performance at 6PM JST. The ?Shin Godzilla vs. Evangelion Symphony mashup will include a total of four performances.
The Godzilla vs Evangelion mash-up is sponsored by Khara, Inc. Hideaki Anno is the concert?s executive producer. Music producer / composer Shir? Sagisu handles the composition, arrangement, and general direction of the concert.
Fans in Japan are looking forward to hear the music of Neon Genesis Evangelion with a full orchestra. The Evangelion Symphony event took place back in 1997. Fans would surely not want to miss this rare event.
