As everyone is still counting the months, weeks, days and hours before the fourth installment of the highly acclaimed series ?Sherlock,? here?s something that will excite you even more for the next season.

So, hold your horses, folks!

According to the report of Movie News Guide, James Moriarty (Andrew Scott) and Sherlock?s love interest, Irene Adler, will be back, leading to the thickening of the plot and promising a super exciting ?Sherlock? season 4.

Sherlock?s worst enemy and nemesis Moriarty is still alive and will fight his way back. Reports based on the article say that the return of Scott?s grey character adds adventures in the next season.

In an article of Ukrainian News Network as published on Movie News Guide, Moriarty made an appearance in Kyiv Metro, Ukraine. The report went further, revealing that Moriarty?s image was plastered over screens of a train with the caption ?Did you miss me??

Gimmick or not? Well, reports said it was not a marketing strategy but rather a random hack.

Irene Adler, on the other hand, gave some hints to the fans in an interview with Radio Times saying, ?I don?t think I said you wouldn?t be seeing me? ?Sherlock? is Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat?s passion project. If it fits to have her back, I know they?ll write it; if it doesn?t, I trust them to get it right.?

Meanwhile, Sherlock?s writer-producer and actor Mark Gatiss revealed that there will be no ?Doctor Who? crossover because such sci-fi time traveling does not suit Sherlock, Movie Pilot said. Reports also disclosed that Pinewood Studios might still be used to film the sci-fi series, ?Doctor Who.?

Gatiss had confirmed in the past that the upcoming ?Sherlock? seasons will be very different and darker from previous seasons. He also revealed that they will be starting with a re-introduction that will build towards a darker climax, Movie News Guide posted.

Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch is all set to film for ?Sherlock? season 4 this spring while the production of the detective series is gearing to set up in South Wales, which was also the setting of the previous seasons.
