Shadow of Mordor: Latest Epic Game From Middle Earth

By on

Avid gaming fans of The Lord of the Rings Game Series will certainly love this latest game title from Monolith Productions.

Set to be released in October this year is Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor.

It is a role playing game that will return players back to Mordor, the Kingdom of Sauron.

Despite the familiar Middle Earth setting, the game has its own story to tell.

In this game, you play the character of a Gondor ranger named Talion whose task is to guard Mordor?s black gates. Sauron?s army killed Talion and his family as they returned to their former stronghold. A wraith brings him back to life and helps him in his quest to avenge the death of his loved ones. However, Talion must share his body with the wraith in order to live, and in return, the creature lends his powers to him.

The origins of the Rings will be revealed to the hero, and a few characters from the Lord of the Rings will also be in this RPG.

Since Talion is now both ranger and wraith, player can either level up the abilities of the hero as a ranger or as a wraith. Both?skills are distinctly separated.

The game is powered by the new Nemesis System in which the game will not only remember some of player?s specific actions, but will also adjust some of the game?s characters based on his past and current interactions.

The game is developed as an ?open world? where a player can freely create enemies, rewards and other situations. The multitude of choices available to a player will ensure that each gaming session provides a different number of outcomes.

Shadow of Mordor will be available to PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3. However, Monolith has publicly stated it will concentrate most of game?s features on the next generation devices such PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although the game will play on the old platforms, the features will not be as extensive or impressive as compared to the next generation versions.
