WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins reportedly suffered a serious knee injury at a match in Ireland, thus disenabling him to defend his title. What will happen now to Rollins, his title belt, and the supposed championship match with Roman Reigns at the Survivor Series?

Seth Rollins Injury

For those who don?t know yet, Seth Rollins suffered a leg injury during his WWE live event match against Kane in Dublin, Ireland causing him to miss around six to nine months of action in the ring. Rollins reportedly suffered a torn, ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Rollins was still able to win the match against Kane, but he struggled to stay upright and was assisted by others to go backstage, The Big League reported. Seth Rollins Update

Rollins has now been stripped of his WWE Heavyweight championship belt as he will be unable to defend his title in the Survivor Series, Independent reported. In place of a one-on-one championship match, a tournament will be held in Survivor Series to determine the new champion, the report said.


Now that the WWE Heavyweight title is vacant, who might be the next champion? According to Bleacher Report, the top contenders are Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, and Daniel Bryan.
