If you?re currently enjoying the game ‘Dead by Daylight’?and its gory story concept, then you might as well congratulate yourself as you are one of the contributors to the huge success of the launching of ?Dead by Daylight.? According to Eurogamer, in just one week after the game was launched, over a quarter million copies of it have been sold.
Publisher Starbreeze couldn?t help but feel proud about the success, taking into consideration that this is their first partnership with game developer Behaviour Interactive. Bo Andersson Klint, Strabreeze?s CEO, said ?With this launch, we’ve proven that the concept we’ve developed with our own Payday-franchise, can be replicated and utilised for other games. Taking the game to different events and seeing it on the top five most streamed titles on Twitch has been a thrill and a real ticket to the game?s success as a spectator friendly game. We look forward to seeing the game evolve and thrive in the community.”
Behaviour Interactive CEO Remi Racine, on the other hand, said the project was a success and their partnership with Starbreeze made it even perfect. He also cited how important it was for the team that Starbreeze let them freely do their jobs in such a way that they get the outcome they have envisioned. “Behaviour Digital is a new studio where we invest in our own future, with Dead by Daylight being our first release, we couldn’t be prouder.”
?Dead by Daylight? was launched on Steam on April 14 and the game was priced at $19.99 ?and $29.99 for the Deluxe Edition as soon as it hit the market.
Gamasutra has been keeping track of the number of copies sold for ?Dead by Daylight? and as of reporting, it has already amassed 270,000 copies sold.
In the early part of June, ‘Dead by Daylight’?went on closed beta to make sure they?re not missing some of the important features of the game. The closed beta ended on June 12. Since then, the game has been success in terms of sales record.
