Slasher-comedy series, Scream Queens, will return with its Season 2 this September. One of the lead stars and horror genre veteran, Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Dean Munsch, teased that her character might even possibly become ?prey? this season.
Production for Season 2 will start soon and talking to Deadline, Curtis said that she is still in the dark about the plot and the script. ?I would assume we?ll get a script in the next three weeks,? she said. ?I know there?s a time skip?and I know that term because I have a 20-year-old fan of a show called One Piece, which is a Japanese anime TV show,? she explained, referring to her son Thomas. ?For me, the pleasure will be in the mouthfuls of ideas and words that I get to say, channeled through this funny woman. It?s just been a real pleasure in my life?a real bloody feather in my cap.?
And, she also adds, ?And who knows? Maybe this season, I?ll be the prey!?
While in an earlier interview with E! News, Curtis said that Season 2 will be much darker. ?I think it?ll be dark. I think it?s going to be very dark. It?s in a hospital, [there?s] a lot of darkness in hospitals?dark hallways, scary rooms, sharp objects, a lot of blood, disinfectants,? she said.
As recalled at the end of the first season, Hester (Lea Michele), was revealed to be one of the Red Devil killers, and after the series of horrific incidents involving these villains in devilish garb, Emma Roberts, along with the other girls were accused of perpetrating these murders. As a result, they were all sent to a mental institution which explains the new setting of the upcoming season.
It appears that Season 2 will be an even darker and bloodier affair. Get ready for more blood, terror and screams as Scream Queens Season 2 premieres on September 20, Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
