Scarlet Heart Ryeo ratings

However, the show?s solid online following is different from its actual performance on TV. ?

According to Nielsen Korea, Scarlet Heart Ryeo ratings for its first week reached only 7.9%. Its rival Moonlight Drawn by Clouds gathered over double the audience share with 16.5% ratings.

Since then, the show has only been receiving minimal bursts in viewership. Improvements have barely even reached 1%. On the contrary, its counterpart KBS2 show has already exceeded 20% audience share. Also a fantasy, historical-themed drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds stars Park Bo Gum and Yoo Jung.

Completely different

However, many fans pointed out that Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Moonlight Drawn by Clouds should not be compared to each other.

According to them, the former is a deep and dark historical drama, while the latter is more like a ?coming of age? series.
