One of the most badass warriors in history is the Samurai, an honorable and proud warrior of Japan. We have seen a lot of samurai video games. In anime or manga, samurais have distinct hairstyles. Some samurais have very long hair, fair enough to be a model for a shampoo commercial; others have short hair and sometimes, they wear aponytail. But an Afro for a Samurai? It might not look that fabulous, however, we will be seeing it in a video game that is being developed right now.

There?s ?talk about the incoming sequel to the game, Afro Samurai, which is now being developed by Redacted Studios. The game was technically based from a manga and anime franchise and features new playable characters and co-op mode.

Redacted Studios? senior developer, David Robinson told Polygon that they are now developing a sequel to the game Afro Samurai named, Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of the Bear. The original Afro Samurai was a success back in 2009 during its release. Robinson, who is a former employee at Namco Bandai in 2012, created his own development team and thus the formation of Redacted Studios. Back in 2005, Namco Bandai was awarded with the exclusive rights to publish two Afro Samurai games that were released in both Xbox 360 and Playstation3.

As of today, there are no words uttered regarding the platform or the release dates for the said game. But one thing is certain; Samuel L. Jackson is going to be part of it. Samuel L. Jackson has been working with the Afro Samurai franchise for the past years.

It took three years to develop the anime for the Afro Samurai and it was lucky that Samuel L. Jackson had a part in it. He voiced the main protagonist of the story, the Afro Samurai. He was also the producer of the anime with the collaboration of Takeshi Okazaki and Gonzo. Back in 2006, Funimation acquired the rights of the anime series and it premiered on Spike. The series was a great success since everyone was really expecting Samuel L. Jackson. But nonetheless, the story was great, the plot, characters, and the video game. Now they are expecting big things to come for this ongoing development of Afro Samurai 2.
