Samsung?s Gear S3 and Apple Watch 2 are the two hottest topics for fitness freaks across the globe. While the demand for wearable market is still not up to the mark, the next-generation devices are expected to change the current dynamics.
The South Korean tech giant?s official Twitter handle has confirmed the Samsung Gear S3 release date as Aug. 31 at the annual IFA 2016 event, scheduled in Berlin. Although there is no official information available to ascertain when this device will hit the store shelves, many reports point to October as the possible time frame. This could also be true because?Apple Watch 2 is expected to make a debut in October.
Speaking of key specifications, the?Samsung Gear S3 will reportedly feature a slimmer profile, along with a design overhaul. However, the round dial will be maintained in the successor as well.
The expectation is that the new smartwatch will come with a metallic bracelet and a fluted bezel. The advantage of such fluted bezel, seen in Rolex, is that it makes the device appear shinier. The Rolex-like look is definitely going to be a crowd puller as it guarantees premium look and sophistication.
Reports also suggest that there are three variants in the offing namely the Gear S3 Classic, Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Explorer.

To top it all off, the?upcoming smartwatch, tied to the codename Solis, will reportedly run Samsung?s own Tizen OS. Apparently, Samsung is never getting back to Google?s Android Wear.
We are also hearing that, unlike the Gear S2, the Samsung Gear S3 will sport a bigger display, which makes reading easier. In general,?round dials are technically hard to manufacture, because OEMs have to make sure aesthetics doesn?t spoil the usability of the device.
Moving on to the current-generation smartwatch, a manufacturer refurbished unit of the Samsung Gear S2 is now available at a dirt cheap price of?$99.99 on eBay. The original price used to be $299.99. This also points to the imminent arrival of the powerful Gear S3.
Interestingly, this discount deal has attracted a lot of buyers because in the past 24 hours about 431 units of this discounted model have been sold via eBay. As this is a refurbished unit, eBay is offering a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you are not satisfied with the received gadget.
