The South Korean company, Samsung is planning to launch its much talked-about smartphone Galaxy S7 on February 21 at MWC 2016 in Barcelona. The company posted a teaser on its official website which showed the new flagship device.
The teaser video, which was posted on Samsung?s official website featured a guy wearing what appears to be a Samsung Gear VR and he tries to open a 3D cube which contains the Samsung Galaxy S7. However, aprt from the video no images were shown regarding the phone.
“We’ve come a long way since the first box we Unpacked. Driven by our passion to create products that open up big possibilities, we embraced every new challenge with joyful dedication. And we broke barriers to go further than ever before. This next step is bigger than any we’ve taken so far. And we want you to be there. Unpacked on February 21,? said Samsung.
Evan Blass? reports suggested that Samsung will be launching three different variant of Samsung Galaxy S7 namely, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 Edge Plus and Galaxy S7. The reports even suggested that the company may unveil all three variants of Galaxy S7 together at a single event.
According to Sammobile, the successor of Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 will retain the microSD card slot as it received a backlash for not including the same in last year devices.
Folks over at HDBlog.it claims, the South Korean company could be including a 5.2-inch flat display in the Galaxy S7, while the Galaxy S7 edge may sport a 5.7-inch curved edge display. Apparently, the S7 display may have a curved display on the top and the bottom.
Meanwhile, Android Geeks notes that Samsung is planning to introduce its own app similar to Live Photos in iPhone 6S. Currently the company is testing the feature and may be named as Timeless Photo or Vivid Photo.
Apart from that the Galaxy S7 device is expected to have a Quad HD Super AMOLED display and the handset will be powered by Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor. The processor will be paired with, 4 GB RAM, and will come 32/64/128 GB storage options. A 12 MP rear camera with BRITECELL sensor, and a 5MP secondary camera will be included in the device and the phone is said to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
