Being fit just got more interesting thanks to the new Samsung Gear Fit 2. Its functional design and impressive features have taken the wearable device to another level.
The new Samsung Gear Fit 2 may have proven to be a fashion-forward fitness tracker with its curved screen and slim design. And although it has its benefits, the competition still has something to offer.
According to Engadget, the Gear Fit 2 slightly compares to Microsoft?s Band 2 that also has a curved display. It?s upgrade to a slightly wider screen has supposedly made it more useful for reading information but with a bit of restrain.
Samsung Gear Fit 2 details
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 features an ergonomic design that can give you accurate fitness tracking and measurement along with a GPS and Heart Rate Monitor. Samsung shared that it can automatically sense the type of activity that you?re currently engaged in, including walking, running, cycling, and even an elliptical trainer or rowing machine.
TechCrunch shared that it will be able to monitor 15 different activities including Pilates, Lunges, Crunch and Squats.
On the other hand, it also has the new ?Steps Challenges? that can ?provide enhanced motivation and enable users to work out more actively, even without a smartphone,? according to Samsung.
The Gear Fit 2 will be running on Android OS 4.4 and has over 1.5GB RAM. You can also choose from three colors which includes Black, Blue and Pink. You can also choose between a small – for wrist sizes 125-170 millimeters – and large – for wrist sizes 155-210 millimeters.
Samsung Electronics announced that the new Gear Fit 2 will be available in select markets including the US, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Australia. It?s currently priced at $179.
