Galaxy S8 soon to become the best-selling Samsung phone to date

Samsung has made its name as one of the best Android phone makers today. The company has released a number of hugely successful devices over the years. That is why it is not a surprise to know that its most recent release is bound to become one of the best in the market so far. According to the latest market study, the Galaxy S8 is bound for greatness as it reaches more than half a million pre-orders in a span of two days.

According to Business Korea, Samsung has received around 550,000 pre-orders for the Galaxy S8. To make this even more impressive, this figure is only for the first two days of the pre-order period. To cap it off, the impressive numbers are for the South Korean market only. It does not include other regions like North America, and Europe.

To put this figure in perspective, the Galaxy Note7 received around 400,000 pre-orders on its first two days. When compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S7, the Galaxy S8 outshines the former by five and a half times.

According to the source, the extensive marketing push from Samsung and its partners helped boost the Galaxy S8 sales. A number of third-party sellers and service providers from South Korea have started marketing the phone months before the pre-order period. Furthermore, these retailers have also included items like Bluetooth speakers and smartphone accessories into their marketing materials.

With its ever increasing popularity, many analysts are now beginning to consider the Galaxy S8 as the best-selling Samsung smartphone to date. From the South Korean figures alone, it has already surpassed that of the Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy S7.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 was unveiled last Mar. 29. Pre-order from other regions, like North America, started the very next day after the launch. However, for South Korea, it only started last Apr. 7. The phone is expected to get an official release in the next few weeks. At the moment, consumers can still pre-order the phone for $720 for the S8 and $850 for the S8+.
