What makes a smartphone like Samsung Galaxy S5, iPhone 6 or Sony Xperia Z3 great? Some might answer a good processor chip, for others it?s the RAM. However, camera quality is also one of the specs consumers are checking.

Recently, Samsung has teased its fans about the camera of their upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S6.

Samsung Galaxy S6 features intelligent and easy to use camera

Samsung Senior Vice President and Head of Camera R&D Group, Dong Hoon Jang, recently talked about the improvements of the camera of their flagships, from the Galaxy S to the most current one, the Galaxy S5.

Here you can see the progress Samsung has made over the years when it comes to their camera, as posted on their blog:

It?s true that, when it comes to camera quality, Samsung is two or three steps ahead of Apple?especially with rumors surrounding Apple?s supposed camera pixel plans for their next flagship phone dubbed the iPhone 6S.

If you think that is surprising, wait till you hear what is in store for Samsung Galaxy fans for the next Samsung Galaxy S6, camera wise.

Samsung Senior Vice President Dong Hoon Jang also talked about the camera for their next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6. He said ?We meticulously evaluate every single facet of our smartphone cameras by taking over 10,000 photos in every imaginable lighting environment for analysis. The same passion and dedication has been put into building the cameras for the release of our 2015 flagship model.?

Jang also teased his readers about the feature we can expect for the camera of Samsung Galaxy S6, ?It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button. It will demonstrate just how far Samsung has advanced smartphone cameras, and once again will open the creative side of our users for new ideas and new possibilities.?

Because of this, we can now safely assume that the?iPhone 6S is inferior to Samsung Galaxy S6 when it comes to camera quality. The release date is still a question mark so stay tuned for more updates.
