Three images of the alleged Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime have been exposed and it reveals the metallic frame having the same design concept of the original S5. It also features high-end specs rumored before about Galaxy S5, such as 2K display and will run the Android 4.4.3 KitKat.
Metallic Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime
One of the early rumours of Galaxy S5 was the metallic exterior design, which was not seen during its launching event. However, that feature is expected to become possible with Galaxy S5 Prime after three images leaked out exposing the aluminium back plate.
PhoneArena posted the images on their Web site from an anonymous tipster revealing the aluminium back plate having a similar design concept of the original Galaxy S5 smartphone. Unlike Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Prime?s alleged image also hinted a slightly curved back plating with significantly reduced display screen bezel similar to Galaxy S4.
Additionally, some parts have been modified such as loudspeaker grill moved to the bottom of the back along with the USB 3.0 connection port.
Some reports before Galaxy S5 was released included 2K display resolution, set of processor cores with 64-bit support, ultra-thin RAM chipset and an Optical Image Stabilisation camera module. It is disappointing that Samsung did not include much of these rumoured specs in Galaxy S5 but some of them are real based on leaked specs of Galaxy S5 Prime.
According to the tipster, Samsung?s upcoming flagship variant will have 5.2 inches of screen display with 2K or QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, Exynos 5430 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, a 16 megapixel rear camera with ISOCELL technology made by Samsung, advanced LTE connectivity version and the latest Android 4.4.3 KitKat which was reported under development for TouchWiz UI.
Moreover, Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is expected to be launched with five different colour schemes such as black, white, blue, gold and pink. As of this time, Samsung remains quite regarding the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime leaked images.
Starting in 2014, Samsung plans to include IP 67 dust-proof and water resistance certification for all flagship models including Galaxy Note 4 and the alleged Galaxy S5 Prime.
