Lee Young Hee, the company’s executive vice president also confirmed that it will be released together or shortly after the release of a new product from Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

“We’ve been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time,” executive vice president Lee said. “When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved.”

In the?International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Lee was prodded with questions regarding the possible specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S5. The possibility of an eyescanner emerged, probably to match the leading competitor’s fingerprint scanner, Apple’s iPhone 5S.

Lee, however, assured the public that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be a whole new different thing from Galaxy S4. It can be remembered that the sales of the Galaxy S4 was not that satisfactory as consumers said that there wasn’t much difference between the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S4.

“When we moved to S4 from S3, it’s partly true that consumers couldn’t really feel much difference between the two products from the physical perspective, so the market reaction wasn’t as big,” Lee announced.

Lee also added that for the S5, the Samsung company will try to go back to the basics. Mostly, it will be about the display and the feel of the cover.

Other Samsung products that were recently launched were Samsung Galaxy Round, with a curved 5.7 inch screen, Samsung Television in 105 inch, and the pilot of the Galaxy Gear smartwatches venturing on the convenience and “wearability” of technology.

It is foreseen on the 2014 Technology arena that the feud between Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy line will continue. Let us see who will outdo the other.
