It seems like the rumor mill is slowly, but surely, veering to the direction of the next Samsung phone. Since the Galaxy S8 is almost here, many now turn their attention to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Now, a new rumor claims that the supposed smartphone or phablet will come with a massive screen that will put other phablets to shame.

According to Slashleaks, the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 will have a huge 6.4-inch OLED display. Furthermore, the said display will be capable of supporting 4K resolutions. While the resolution alone is pretty impressive, suffice to say that the 6.4-inch OLED panel is nothing short of monstrous.

Another information shared by Slashleaks is the storage and memory of the Galaxy Note 8. According to the same leak, the phone will have a whopping 256GB of internal flash and 6GB of RAM. Again, it seems like Samsung is going all out with the Galaxy Note 8.

Finally, there is the issue of the processor or SoC. The leak claims that Samsung will be using the same Snapdragon 835 chip in the upcoming phone. However, to further differentiate it from the Galaxy S8, the Note 8’s chip will run at a much faster clock speed.

Unfortunately, apart from the specs mentioned nothing much is known about the other possible specs of the phone. For instance, there are no details on whether or not the Galaxy Note 8 will support facial recognition just like the Galaxy S8. Furthermore, it is also unknown if Samsung will retain the iris scanning feature that was first introduced on the Galaxy Note 7.

From the image that Slashleaks has posted, it seems like the Galaxy Note 8’s display is much curvier than that of its predecessor. Furthermore, the shape of the corners are more rounded than the previous phones that Samsung has released.

Like in any other leak, this too should be taken with a grain of salt. For sure, Samsung will not take part in confirming nor denying this leak. Furthermore, it could be that the phone is still in its early design stage. There is a chance that it might still change as the days move on.
