It seems like this week has been a week of major leaks from device makers. Following the reports about the iPhone 8’s lack of Touch ID sensor, a new leak about its alleged packaging surfaced the Internet.
On the other hand, fans of the Samsung Galaxy brand are not to left behind for, they too, get to have a major leak for the Galaxy Note 8.
Weibo, the Chinese counterpart of Twitter, is known for some major leaks in the past. Now, two new images surfaced the microblogging website on two different occasions.
The first image to be leaked is said to be the front glass cover of the Galaxy Note 8. From the image, one can see some minor differences between this one and that of the Galaxy S8.
The first noticeable difference is the bigger screen-to-body ratio. The side bezels on the alleged front glass panel is much thinner than the ones found on the Galaxy S8. Furthermore, the top and bottom parts of the glass are also made slightly thinner than usual.
The second noticeable thing on the first image is the amount of curve along the corners of the panel. The ones on new panels are slightly less curved than that of the S8 series.
The second image to get leaked on Weibo image of the rear cameras and the fingerprint sensor of the Galaxy Note 8. From the image, it can be seen that the two cameras are housed in a single casing that includes the LED flash. Right next to it, as anyone would expect, is the fingerprint sensor.
It is not a surprise to find the fingerprint sensor at the back of the Galaxy Note 8. This is due to the fact that it has been reported many times that Samsung ditched the plans for an in-display sensor due to complications.
Readers are warned, however, that we cannot guarantee if these images are legit. It will be best to just take these ones with a grain of salt for now. For more Samsung Galaxy Note 8 updates, be sure to check us out at TheBitbag.
