Samsung Is officially marketing its famous Infinity Display on its upcoming mobile device, the Galaxy Note 8. The display design was originally featured on the Galaxy. Now, it looks like Samsung is pushing the design to the edge by having a nearly bezel-less overall design.
According to an alleged schematics leak from Slashleaks, the Galaxy Note 8 might have a nearly zero-bezel display design. Based on the images posted by the website, the new design moved the stereo speaker grilles to the outer edges of the phone. This will lead to more head and bottom space for the display.
Another interesting bit about the leak is the layout of the dual camera sensors and the supposed fingerprint sensor below it. It is still unsure if the opening immediately below the cameras is for the fingerprint sensor. However, there were reports earlier saying Samsung is still having issues with the in-display fingerprint sensor technology.
If this happens to be true, at least the location of the new fingerprint sensor is more than ideal compared to the Galaxy S8. This layout will make sure a user’s finger does not interfere with the cameras.
As mentioned earlier, the speaker grilles are now moved to the top and bottom sides of the phone. The top side will have the SIM slot and a set of grilles. Meanwhile, the bottom grille will join the USB Type-C port and the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Readers are urged to take this leak with a grain of salt. There is now way of verifying the veracity of these images. In fact, the leak aggregator has been known to host unwarranted and unsupported claims about recent electronic products. That is why it is quite difficult to think of it as a credible source. Nevertheless, there are some instances where Slashleaks will post something that is actually true and worthwhile.
