Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 has been rumored to feature a Type-C USB port.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been rumored to be one of the powerful devices waiting to be released on August 2 in New York City. A new report suggests that the Galaxy Note 5 successor will feature the now-famous ?USB Type-C port,? along with a slew of other ports.

Portal?Mobile Fun is known for selling gadgets and accessories from various OEMs. Usually, such sites list down the accessories way before the devices get released. Today, a new listing in this portal shows an image of the alleged Galaxy Note 7 with a screen protector on.

As it turns out, the listing belongs to the prominent accessory maker Olixar. The image shows Olixar?s tempered glass screen protector for the 5.7-inch display, although some rumors suggested in the past that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could flaunt a humongous 6.0-inch display. To top it off, one of the sides is curved.

Olixar’s Galaxy Note 7 photo shows a slew of sensors at the top and it is easy to spot the Type-C USB port at the bottom of the device.?Phone Arena says Samsung could be working on a version of Gear VR that is compatible with the Type-C port. Hence, this feature might very well come true owing to the fact that Samsung and other top OEMs are heavily investing in VR technology.

As far as the rumored Galaxy Note 7 specifications go, Samsung is believed to have used the synonymous Super AMOLED display technology, aided by a QHD resolution. Corning?s Gorilla Glass 4 protection has become a norm in almost all the high-end devices and hence, the new Note 7 may not be an exception.

Camera-wise, a 12-megapixel rear-facing sensor with OIS support has been tipped. Either a 5 or 8-megapixel snapper can be expected at the front for selfies and video chats. While Samsung is rumored to use both Exynos and Qualcomm chipsets, the configurations are believed to be backed by a whopping 6GB of RAM.

This device will reportedly come equipped with 256GB of native storage space with a microSD card slot in tow. Past rumors suggested that Samsung?s Galaxy Note 7 will carry a solid 3,600mAh battery unit.

As always, readers should note that Samsung has not confirmed the reported configurations of the?Note 7 thus far.
