The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is only a few days away and fans are already excited to see the new smartphone. There have been many leaks in the past which have given tech addicts some hints as to what we can expect in the upcoming flagship smartphone from Samsung. Now, the electronics giant itself is dropping major hints about some exciting new features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 with the release of their latest promotional ad.
Samsung has been known to be very secretive when it comes to the specs and features of their smartphones. There have been previous leaks about the Note 7 but Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied them. In the new promo video for the Galaxy Note 7 though the company has decided to tease its fans as it offered some clues about the new smartphone.
The 30-second video, which was posted on the Samsung YouTube account, featured Korean texts but anyone could see some of the exciting features that the company is alluding to.
The video starts with the usual modes of unlocking smartphones, and that is by using a fingerprint scanner or swiping a security pattern. The video shows people having difficulty unlocking the phone which could be teasing the rumored iris scanner for the Note 7.
A new feature which the ad could be hinting at is a front-facing LED selfie flash. The short promo video had a portion which shows a young woman lying down and taking a selfie but with a light bulb right by her face. The Note 7 having a front-facing LED flash is certainly exciting and it is a handy little feature that many Note fans will surely enjoy.
Aside from a possible selfie flash, the Galaxy Note 7 ad likewise hinted at an improved S-Pen. The video shows several instances of highlighters being used on portions of a book. This is not the most subtle hint but an improvement in the S-Pen is certainly going to be appreciated by smartphone fanatics.
