Samsung is preparing to repeat the success story of Galaxy S7 with its upcoming Galaxy Note 7. Although the Korean tech giant has not released any statement regarding Galaxy Note 7, a lot of rumors are circulating around the release date and specs of Galaxy Note 7. The latest reports indicate that the company could launch the device in July.
According to GSMArena, Samsung will unveil Galaxy Note 7 during some ?Samsung Unpacked Event? that is supposed to take place on August 2. However, the company has not made any official statement regarding any such event. GSMArena believes that the company will provide the information about the specs and release date during the event.
Moreover, the website has also reported the latest leaks of the upcoming handset. Russian leakster Eldar Murtazin has leaked the specs of Galaxy Note 7. He has confirmed the recent rumors of battery upgrade in upcoming handset. Galaxy Note 7 is supposed to be powered by 3,600 mAh battery.
The device will feature 5.8-inch Super AMOLED curved display with QHD resolution. The device is supposed in two variants running on Exynos 8890 chipset and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor. A massive 6GB RAM and 256GB internal memory will be there. A 12MP camera with Super OIS Plus is likely to be there. S Pen stylus could be included in the package.
Recently, a renowned tipster, Evan Blass, has confirmed that the device will be IP68 certified. This means Galaxy Note 7 will be completely dust proof and waterproof up to one meter deep of water. The device will also support a microSD card.
He has also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 7 will include an iris scanner. It will somehow scan retina to unlock the device.
