A lot of leaks and rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 have been doing the rounds. Fans recently heard speculations about the Korean tech giant skipping the number 6 to ensure that the upcoming Note device is graced with the number 7 in its title.

Reports suggest that the company may have decided to do make this move in order to align the 2016 Note with the Galaxy S7 series. This makes sense since many buyers may mistake the Note 6 to be sitting at a lower rung in comparison to the Galaxy S7, owing to the moniker. However, the numbering still happens to be a speculation. However, Sam Mobile has chanced upon what is said to be a Samsung Unpacked event invite.

The leaked invite hints at the number ?7? through a few curved lines with the words, ?The next edge is just around the corner,? below. The date given reads out to be August 2, 2016 with the venue being Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. It is important to note that there is no way to confirm that this invite is authentic, other than actually waiting for the company to send out the invites.

Although when considering the details with the leaked image reflecting the ongoing rumor of the device adopting number 7 and an ?Edge? variant landing, it does seem very probable. The venue is another indication that the leak could be legit since the Note 5 was launched at the same location. The introduction of the much-talked about device, such as the Galaxy Note 7, does deserve a massive venue with a crowd to match.

As noted by Android Headlines, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to possess a 5.8-inch display and to be powered by Qualcomm?s Snapdragon 823 chipset. The offering is expected to boast of an iris scanner, water-resistant chassis, a 4000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port, amongst other features.

Keep coming back for more updates, speculations and rumors surrounding Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
