Samsung is getting close to launch its Galaxy S5 Mini (SM-G800) as Samsung Finland site posted a support page for the upcoming handset earlier this week.
Though there is no image yet, nor any information posted with the added support page, this tells us that the handset is close to coming very soon.
Previous reports tell us that Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will come in at 4.5-inch Super AMOLED 1280x720p display, quad core Snapdragon 400 processor from Qualcomm with a clock speed of 1.6GHz, 8 MP camera, 2 MP camera at the front, 16 GB internal memory, 1.5 GB RAM, IR blaster and a 2100 mAh battery. In addition, Galaxy S5 mini will also come with the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
Also, it was reported that Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will come with 16GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB cards, and a TouchWiz user interface. Also, rumors said that Galaxy S5 mini will be a water-resistant phone with an IP67 rating though it is not clear whether or not it will have the Active line.
Also, we could expect that Galaxy S5 Mini will not feature a fingerprint scanner and the heart rate monitor, which are present on the S5 as it was reported earlier that S5 Mini will not include these features.
When it comes to pricing, a lot of people are expecting ?Samsung to sell S5 Mini for around the same as the S4 Mini did, at launch, which is about ?330. Rumors also said that it is most likely that Samsung will launch S5 Mini in June since Galaxy S4 Mini arrived in July last year.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a Galaxy S4 look-alike which comes with a 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD display, a dual-core processor, 1.7GHz chip of the Snapdragon variety, 40 x 960 pixels, and 8 megapixels (main camera), and the TW Nature UX 2.0 on top of Android 4.2.2.
Moreover, Samsung is also reported to have been working on another project called SM-G750 which is known as the Galaxy S5 Neo moniker. Rumors said that this project is a higher end model as it will cater a 5.1? 720p phone with a 2.3GHz CPU notwithstanding a lower model number.
