Samsung has launched its Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro in Malaysia. The Galaxy A9 Pro is an upper midrange handset with stunning appeal. Samsung has already launched the device in China and could release it in other countries soon.
According to the Facebook page of Senheng, a Malaysian based electronic retailer, it has started selling Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro in Malaysia with a pricing of RM 1,999 that is roughly $500. However, if the company releases the device in other countries, the price could be different in each countries. The device was launched in China with the price tag of 3,499 Yuan (approximately $533).
The international version of the device is supposed to have similar features as chinese variant of Galaxy A9 Pro. ?The device is 161.7mm in length, 80.9mm wide and 7.9mm thick and weighs 210 grams.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor and an octa-core made up of a quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 and a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. Adreno 510 GPU is there to manage and boost the performance of video and graphics. It is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable up to 256GB. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro runs Android Marshmallow v6.0.1.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features with 6-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 441 ppi density. Capacitive touchscreen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and offers multiple touch feature.
A main camera of 16MP is there with autofocus, OIS, LED flash. The main camera features 1/2.8″ sensor, geo-tagging, touch focus HDR and panorama mode. Moreover, it can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. The front camera of 8MP is also there for better selfies.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is powered by massive 5000mAh battery Li-Ion non-removeable battery. Other features include fingerprint reader, accelerometer, compass, gyro and proximity sensors. Fast battery charging is there as well. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is available in three colors including white, black and gold.
As far as the U.S. release is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is expected to hit the stands soon as it has already received FCC certification. The regulatory body has approved Galaxy A9 Pro with model numbers SM-A910F and SM-A910F/DS.
Samsung is heavily pegged to release the Galaxy Note 7 on Aug. 2. Apple will be releasing its phablet, the iPhone 7 Plus in September. Both the smartphones are expected to enter fierce battle in the near future.
