Finally, after years of waiting, the Sailor Moon R Movie: Promise of the Rose, has arrived in the United States and will soon be shown on the big screens. Sailor fans can now get a chance to see their Pretty Sailor Soldiers battle the forces of evil in a wider visual perspective.
Sailor Moon R Movie Premiere Details
The people behind Viz Media has recently announced on Twitter that they will be hosting the Sailor Moon R Movie premiere screening event . This will be set on January 13, 2017 at ?The Theater? at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. Tickets will go on sale starting December 15, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. (PST).
The screening will also include a live question and answer portion with the English cast and staff of the said movie. Another addition to this is the short anime movie entitled ?Make Up! Sailor Guardians!? ?(Make Up! Sailor Seishi! in Japanese). This short film will run for a good 15 minutes and tackles on who the best Sailor Warrior is and why they think so.
In order to reach more audiences around the U.S., the team from Viz Media has paired up with Eleven Arts to hopefully screen the film to more than 300 theaters come late January. The English adaptation of the film will, most likely, be dubbed by the original cast of the anime franchise. But there is a new addition to the cast.
The aforementioned new addition is none other that voice actor Ben Diskin. He has been know to shed life to characters such as Sai of Naruto Shippuden, Young Xehanort of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Shoutmon DX and Takato Matsuda of Digimon All-Star Rumble and many more.
This time, Diskin will be portraying Foire in the film. The story will revolve around Fiore and Mamoru whose friendship seemed to have crossed paths way before Mamoru ever met Usagi and the Sailor Soldiers. What happens to the rest of the story will be left as a secret so as not to spoil this much awaited Sailor Moon R Movie: Promise of the Rose.
