By on

Hi Everyone. Adz here sharing some tips about our favorite semi-fighting game inspired champion Riven.

Riven is the kind of champion played very well can single-handedly carry games if she gets ahead even in very crucial scenarios like a 4v5. She is one of my favorite top-laners and I have been playing her for a quite a long time. The purpose of this guide is to make good Riven players into advanced Riven players. This can also be guide for players new to Riven and will focus on a lot of combos and animation canceling.

Passive-Runic Blade: Riven’s passive adds additional bonus damage to your auto attacks after using an ability. This can charge this up to 3 times and can only be used one at a time. To make good use of this passive, you should always try to auto attack your enemy between skills to make sure you deal the most amount of damage.

Q-Broken Wings: Riven’s Q steps forward and slashes everything in front of her. This ability can be used 3 times in a row within a 4-second duration. The third slash (Q3) provides Riven with a decent knock up. The ability slashes towards your cursor when you are hovering over an enemy. If no targets are present, Riven will simply go forward the direction she is currently facing.

W-Ki Burst: Riven’s W deals damage to everyone around her and stuns them for 0.75 seconds. This ability gives Riven an advantage during trading. A stun that deals good damage, has a short cooldown, and scales pretty nicely.

E-Valor: Riven’s E dashes you towards the direction of your cursor and grants you a shield that scales on your AD. The more AD you have, the more shield the ability provides.

R1-Blade of the Exile: Riven’s ultimate grants Riven an even bigger sword for 15 seconds. This gives you 75 bonus attack range and 20% bonus AD during the time. Also your range of your Q and W are slightly increased.
