S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Devs Received A Letter From Vladimir Putin?

By on

Lately, Russia?s President, Vladimir Putin has been in the news for numerous reasons, but never in our wildest imaginations that he would permeate our world (video games).
The devs of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., the famous cult survival horror game is now raising funds for a new title called ?Areal?. According to some reports, the project is doing pretty well and has already raised $38,607.00 of its $50,000.00 at the time of writing with 4 days to go. And apparently, it has been enough to catch the eye of the Russian President.

According to West Games, developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the forthcoming Areal, they have received a letter signed by Vladimir Putin himself, which states that Putin?s daughter informed him of ?Areal? after backing its Kickstarter.
In the letter, the Russian President confessed his love for video games and invited them to the Kremlin to talk about ?the interests of young people, the gamers of our country?.

At the moment, we do not know if the letter is legit or not. But West Games is already investigating the letter?s authenticity.

This is the translated version of the letter:

?Dear Eugene,

My daughter informed me about your game Areal, which is the spiritual successor to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and told me that she paid money to support your project on Kickstarter. I also love video games as well as shooters, and I like this idea. It is important that our people do not shoot each other, but instead, play games like this.

The first part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. took place in Ukraine, and in the second game Areal, you put all events in the center of Russia ? and if this is a war against mutants in a video game, then that is very interesting. I attentively familiarized myself with your idea and I really like it.

If you give me the chance to play the alpha version of the game, when it is ready, then I invite you in advance to the Kremlin, to meet personally, be ready to play a little bit and talk about the interests of young people, the gamers of our country.

Best regards,

V. Putin?
