Rush Hour TV Finale Is Its Last Ever; Season 2 Cancelled

By on

Rush Hour TV finale will be the last episode that fans and viewers alike would see from the series. This is due to the fact that CBS has cancelled its second installment. After seven episodes were aired, it was decided that the 11th will be its end.

Rush Hour is surely not coming back for Season 2. The news was revealed few hours after it has been announced by the CBS network that four series will be renewed. These include Code Black, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, The Odd Couple and Undercover Boss. The news had ended all hopes that Rush Hour would at least see a renewal for another season.

The Rush Hour movies obtained a huge success at the box office years ago. It looks like the television series failed to capture the comedy magic set forth by the films. Viewers have waited long enough to know if the Rush Hour series will be renewed or cancelled. Finally, we got the answer to our biggest question, but the answer was not too kind.

Among the most cited reasons behind the cancellation of the series are dry humor and repeated plots. But it looks like the real cause of the series being a flop is due to the absence of the old chemistry of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Many fans hope that the actors will be back to reprise their roles, but this remains impossible now due to their busy schedules.

Justin Hires and Jon Foo, the actors currently starring in the television series, are doing their best but it is not enough. Rush Hour follows a nonconformist LAPD detective and his partner from Hong Kong. They knock heads when these two detectives were forced to work together.

The seven episodes that we have seen so far averaged a 1.1 demo rating and 5.6 million total viewers. Rush Hour will definitely be gone for good after finishing its freshman run.
