Rousey vs Cyborg 2015: Ronda Rousey Still Dodging Cris ?Cyborg? Justino Even After Big Win Over Correia

Ronda Rousey

The most tense moment during the Ronda Rousey-Bethe Correia fight didn?t happen during their 34-second battle. It didn?t even happen during Rousey?s beautiful take down of the Brazilian fighter. It happened when Rousey made a remark against another fighter, Cris ?Cyborg? Justino.

?”I’m prepared to deal with anything. That’s why I’m the champ,” she said. “I fight in the UFC 135-pound division. [Cyborg] can fight at 145 pumped full of steroids and she can make weight just like everybody else without them,” Rousey said according to Bleacher Report.

Bethe Correia, even with her impressive 9-0 professional record, was a poor match against Rousey who ushered women in the action-packed world of UFC. Even her husband/coach Edelson Silva, also known for coaching UFC superstar Anderson Silva (no relation)said that she was nervous, edgy the week before her match.

Rousey had all the advantage ? a flourishing career, the best sponsorships, a record showing that she can win a fight in the first round alone (all her wins in the last four fights combined, only lasted a little over a minute!), and oddly, an advantage Correia herself provided: motivation.

When the Brazilian fighter took a swipe at a possible suicide reference, Rousey took it personally (her father died by killing himself when she was eight), and vowed to beat Correia against all odds.

So even with a homecourt advantage, Bethe didn?t stand a chance.

Rousey vs Cyborg 2015

So honestly, it was quite exciting when Rousey let out some harsh statements after ? not against Correia but against Justino.

And it got the reaction she wanted. According to Bleach Report, Cyborg took offense to what Rousey said and threatened legal action ? unless Ronda fights her.

The match couldn?t have been more perfect ? Rousey, 28, has a 12-0 record, while Cyborg, Invicta FC women’s featherweight titleholder?is 14-1 with a no-contest, and hasn?t lost since 2005.

But here?s the catch: The potential fight might not happen at all. But as per Wade Keller, ?”There is no shortage of bad blood between the two competitors, which is why Rousey vs. Cyborg may be the biggest dream fight remaining in the UFC.” But as per Win?s Mike Foss: “The problem is, the potential fight will almost surely never happen. The first issue is Justino is part of Invicta FC, the second is Rousey’s belief that she is still using steroids.?… Yep, it looks like?real progress between both sides is being made.?

So this might actually mean that Rousey?s big words against Cyborg might be all air ? she talks because she knows the fight is never going to happen, and with a big win like last Saturday, she has all the right to talk big.

Fans are divided

So who?s going to win in case this dream match happens? Even after Rousey?s win however, some people are not convinced that she can win over a more senior Justino.

?In my opinion Cyborg! Cyborg is not just a striker anymore she has been competing in BJJ pretty heavily?for a few years now and is very good. She has continued?improving her skills both standing and grappling not to mention her strength. Rowdy is one bad lady but she is really untested. Rowdy’s advantages?are that she is physically stronger then her opponents and she has a great?ground game?and it shows in the fights. That advantage goes away with Cyborg. RR is still kind of goofy and uncomfortable on her feet but she has gotten a little better but not enough. Cyborgs size, striking and strength trump RR’s ground game and slams.?

Of course, you also can?t take away Ronda?s recent victory: ?Rousey first round submission without a doubt,? a fan boldly predicted.

So do you think this dream bout has any potential? Well all we can say is that Pacquiao vs Mayweather almost didn?t happen, and we all know how that panned out.

So who are you betting on? Ronday Rousey or Cris ?Cyborg? Justino? Sound off in the comments below.
