Comebacks and remakes are definitely a thing in 2016, including gaming. A lot of the classic games have been brought back to life this year. This includes the recently released Super Mario Run, which made waves on its first week. Now joining the trend is RollerCoaster Tycoon, which recently became available on both iOS and Android.
Early Christmas Gift
RollerCoaster Tycoon was released on mobile platforms on December 22. It was the best early Christmas gift for gamers who adored the classic Roller Coaster Tycoon PC titles. However, playing the game will set you back $6 on Google Play and Apple Store. Early reviews suggest though that it may be worth your money, as the game?s ?bigger and better.?
According to Tech Times, the game was redesigned for smartphones with touchscreens. The title is lauded for its visual appeal. Additionally, the mobile game boasts several features, including a new park design, custom roller coaster building and more.
Bigger and Better
The site claims that RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is a ?bigger, better, and concise version? of the old games. Here you can enjoy 95 classic park scenarios. These were reportedly combined from the two earlier versions of the title.
In the game, players can build their own rides. If you?re new to the game, you can use the available pre-templates. Advanced gamers, however, can create their rides per piece using the tools provided in the title. Aside from such gameplay features, the mobile title offers players a pleasant experience with its visuals and sounds. Tech Times writes, ?The RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic offers an isometric graphics and authentic park sound scoring to give players a “genuine gameplay feel.?
Aside from building rides, players can also design the park and manage its staff and even finances. Customization is also part of the game as players would need to build other items such as food stalls and transport.
RollerCoaster Tycoon is now available on iOS and Android for $6. For gamers who choose to play on PC, there?s the Atari Vault which features a new version of the title plus 100 classic games.
