Five-time champion Roger Federer pleased the crowd with an astonishing win over American John Isner in the fourth round of the US Open 2015. The match came down to a battle of serves with Roger Federer winning in straight sets making another grand slam quarter-finals spot at Flushing Meadows, New York, according to the Guardian.

Federer took down Isner 7-6, 7-6, 7-5, making a superb finish in the last game. According to the Guardian, he ended Isner?s ?string of 108 consecutive service holds at the US Open, dating back to the beginning of last year?s championship.?

The Swiss tennis star, which placed second seed and holder of a phenomenal record 17 grand slam titles, beats 13th seeded American big John Isner to go head-to-head against 12th seeded Frenchman Richard Gasquet, who defeated Czech Tomas Berdych in an amazing four sets, for the US Open 2015 Quarter-finals, shared by the Guardian.

?It?s a lot of fun to play in a night session match. I thought tonight was very special,? Federer said according to USA Today. ?John is one of the best servers in the game. The pace on the second serve is unreal. You just have to make sure you hold your own serve. I guess that was a key to the match.? And for Roger Federer, making his straight sets win against John Isner was pretty incredible. ?Seven-love obviously is a pretty good score against John.?

The 34-year-old Swiss will reach his 46th career grand slam quarter-final, the most in the Open Era, posted by USA Today. The five-time US Open champion will also make his 11th quarter-finals appearance in 12 attempts, posted by ESPN. And on Wednesday, he will go against Richard Gasquet, who he won 14 of 16 matches with, shared by USA Today. ?He?s an unbelievable talent, a great shot-maker,? Federer stated of Gasquet. ?I?m aware of the test ahead.?

Be sure to watch the incredible match as Roger Federer will face off against Richard Gasquet in the quarterfinals of the US Open 2015 on October 10, 7pm at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
