Publisher Take-Two Interactive revealed that the last 12 months for their company were very productive in terms of software sales. Grand Theft Auto 5 was their most lucrative game yet, which made a very huge profit for the company, almost doubling the numbers.
To add more to this success, Take-Two is also making sure that they stay in this spot for a long time by giving out a hint to the gamers of what they can get in the near future. Rockstar Games will be releasing a next-gen game on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, by the end of their fiscal year of 2014. That?d be March 2015. In a breaking news, Rockstar CEO Strauss Zelnick made an announcement:
?We?re excited about what [Rockstar] have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year.?
Now, with a lot of games from Rockstar, we?d be obviously curious as to which next-gen game they are referring to. There are practically dozen?s of possibilities for the developer?s next project. If there?s anything that fan favorites would certainly want to see, it?d be Red Dead Redemption 2 or another installment from the same series. However, there has been no official statement about this from either Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
There is also a possibility that Rockstar will be making another Bully game, though there hasn?t been a single announcement about this either. There is a high chance though, since Rockstar made a number of Bully-related trademarks in the previous year, which leads everybody to thinking that an actual Bully game is in the works already.
Last possibility would be a port of Grand Theft Auto 5, which gamers actually expected to be out in the previous year (and it didn?t.) But as we know, Rockstar is well known for taking it slowly when it comes to promoting their games. Much like how it was on Grand Theft Auto 4. Either way, Rockstar Games is definitely not going to disappoint, although the anticipation might be higher because, regardless if E3 is just around, they usually shy away from the event.
