Iron Man 4

When Tony Stark blew up all his Iron Man suits and had the last shrapnel from his heart taken out, many people speculated that Robert Downey Jr., who successfully played the billionaire superhero to a tilt, won?t be coming back to reprise his role for a fourth movie.

Of course, we?ve had Avengers: Age of Ultron since, and we know that he?s coming back in Captain America: Civil War, so what?s the deal?

Well good news for all Downey fans ? it seems that the actor is indeed returning to reprise his most iconic role, and no less than Iron Man 3 director Shane Black confirmed it.

Iron Man 4 confirmed

According to Master Herald, Black was quoted as saying that Robert Downey Jr. would be back for another ?Iron Man? movie and that he was quite sure of it.

This statement clearly squashes rumors that young actor Ty Simpkins, who acted with Downey in Iron Man 3, will replace the veteran actor as the Marvel superhero. We speculate that Iron Man 4 would be going on another Marvel ?origin? direction as Simpkins would still be quite young to do the debonair role in 2019 when the movie is set to be released (Simpkins would be 18).

According to reports, Marvel and RDJ are still on a stand still regarding the actor?s demand to raise his TF with an additional $50-million. The price, believe it or not, seems fair as Iron Man 3 debuted to be one of the most top-grossing films of all time.

RDJ admits to doing Iron Man 4

Last year, it can be remembered that RDJ himself confirmed that he is returning as Tony Stark in the movie, and not just as one of the cast of Avenger films. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Downey said that he is still in talks regarding his decision to star in another Marvel movie, only to give a more definite answer in the end.

“I know there’s going to be a bunch more Marvel movies,” he said. “And they have big ideas of how to do it best and we’re in the middle of negotiation.? Ellen responded, “So, yes?”, to which Downey admitted, “Okay, yes!?

Many have feared RDJ won?t be coming back for Iron Man as he once told Dateline that he has planned to stop the Superhero franchise before he reaches 50. However, fans are adamant that he should definitely return. Afterall, for many of us, he is Iron Man.
