After the successful reboot of ?Tomb Raider, a new prequel novel was announced today. DK Publishing revealed the Ten Thousand Immortals, a prequel novel to the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider.

To those people who played the Tomb Raider reboot, it was pretty great, the visuals, gameplay, almost every dynamic of the game is awesome. The characters are also well made and the plot is totally great. It gives a lot of excitement for the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider since we are expecting great things from this game.

The Tomb Raider reboot was set into the island of Yamatai, a seemingly mysterious island with pirates, ancient samurais, and a mad prophet. Things went crazy as ships mysteriously crash and those who survive are trapped within the island. It became a lot crazier when people try to leave the island as magical thunder clouds began to form and zap anyone who leaves. The only thing that you need to do is figure out the mysteries behind the island of Yamatai.

Now, the prequel novel will pick up from the events of the previous Tomb Raider. The plot goes as a traumatized Lara Croft tries to save her best friend Sam from a toxic overdose. Then there goes a couple of mysteries as Lara Croft hears about a legend.

Legend talks about a mysterious artifact, not only that it would magically heal her best friend, it would also explain some of the supernatural occurrences that she witnessed on Yamatai Island. There are a lot of things going on for the next Tomb Raider installment and we would not spoil it for you.

An award winning writer, Dan Abnett, wrote the Ten Thousand Immortals so you will expect a mind blowing plot alongside the work of?another award winning comic book writer, Nik Vincent. That?s 2 award winning writers right there. Crystal Dynamics and these two writers will be cooking the plot and the game is expected to be released during the holiday of 2015.
