The latest video trailers show what other options Lara Croft can perform on the upcoming game.
In a recent Gamescom 2015 video presentation, many people have criticized on how Lara croft became a cold, heartless killing machine for the Rise of The Tomb Raider game, where in the video shows Lara can perform stealth kills and all-out full force action.
But the latest video shows Lara Croft in a much less violent approach by not killing any soldiers along her way. In this latest video, we see the same level as that from the Gamescom presentation, but this time it will introduce the no no-kill stealth approach.
Some mechanics found in the previous video are still present, from hiding behind crates, climbing to higher grounds and blending in the darkness from the level as well as interacting with objects scattered around the area and use them by throwing at a spot to distract enemies. Now with new mechanics being introduced, such as allowing the use of your bow and arrow to distract enemies by firing at a certain spot. At the end of the video, Lara managed not to kill any guards as she navigates around the area, compared to the previous video where she laid waste to some of them.
Creative director Noah Hughes explained that “We’ve built our combat to offer players as many choices as possible, and in this case? it’s possible for Lara to make her way through the area with zero kills? Of course, sometimes combat is unavoidable…but how you approach combat in Rise of the Tomb Raider is often up to you.”
Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available first on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10, 2015. The PC version will soon be available on early 2016 and the PlayStation 4 in Fall 2016. Rise of the Tomb Raider will be a trilogy game that focus on the storyline of the rebooted Tomb Raider franchise last 2013.
