Rick And Morty Season 3 Updates: Release Date, Plot, Use Of Claymation, New Trailer Out

By on

Time for some Rick and Morty Season 3 updates! The show is set to have its third installment later this year but something should tell us that it is quite soon. It looks like creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland are quite busy recently. It appears that a marketing roll-out is in the works and you know what comes after that–the launch!

What?s cool about this new marketing roll-out is that it uses claymotion care of a stalwart Rick and Morty fan named Dieter Wagner.

Wagner previously directed a fan animation video of the show. Here it is:

It caught the eye of the Rick and Morty team and it looks like Dieter Wagner or his alterego DJ Animate will be back to create the claymation promo for Rick and Morty Season 3 launch. It looks like Mr. Poopy Butthole will come back for season 3 as well. Wagner is 3D printed a test version and shared it on social media.

The least that could happen is that we would get a claymation promo for Rick and Morty season 3.

Now, for the plot. It has been hinted that the third installment on Adult Swim will be more serialized than the previous seasons. In the previous seasons, Rick and Morty usually had one adventure with many misadventures per episode. Making more serialized would be a significant change. Other cartoons have found success in deciding like that of the Matt Stone and Trey Parker masterpiece, South Park.

Rick and Morty season 3 still doesn?t have a launch date but the creators and their team are positive that it will be launched later this year or this fall. The creators though are not stingy and have provided a first look. Albeit not polished, it is still awesome.

The Rick and Morty producers value perfection and they could not want to release something unpolished on TV. But as they share their progress in the development of the third season, we know that it is almost impossible for this not to be good nor better than the first two.
