Things look to be going great and as this earlier Bitbag article suggests, it may even be better. Rick and Morty Season 3 is poised to run longer than the first two seasons. Harmon revealed that they would go for four episodes extra. The total episode count for Rick and Morty Season 3 will be 14 instead of the usual 10. This would sit very well with fans.
In a report by Christian Daily, Roiland has revealed the plot for the upcoming season. Rick and Morty Season 3 will explore the universe?s infinity inside the liver of Rick. This is a possible throwback to the third episode of the show–bringing the Anatomy Park theme back again.
In the Season 2 Finale, Rick was imprisoned along with the universe?s toughest criminals. This ending had fans on the edge of their seats. Some were speculating that the third season will ?waste? episodes spending on an intricate plot that has Rick escaping the prison with or without the help of Morty. Harmon revealed though that things will be pretty okay quite quickly and that they won?t spend many episodes in dealing with the whole prison situation they have created.
Rick and Morty Season 3 is expected to get darker too. This was revealed by Harmon according to Master Herald. This would be a great direction to take as longtime Rick and Morty fans are now accustomed to the generally darker humor of the show.
Stay tuned for more Rick and Morty Season 3 updates.
