Rick and Morty Season 3 Launch

The release date of Adult Swim?s animated science fiction series Rick and Morty seems ever elusive despite a number of rumors spinning around an August launch of the show.

Lately, a new social media post by Adult Swim has given more fuel to August release rumors as the official Instagram account announced the premiere of a Rick and Morty Season 3 teaser trailer.

The now-deleted post reads ?Get Ready? as the first teaser trailer for the all new season will air Friday night at 12:15 am.

Fortunately the Reddit users were able to capture the photo but the authenticity of such a post remains questionable. The post could even be a hoax but there have been multiple corroborated sightings of the post with several people claiming to have seen it.

Also, Rick and Morty?s official Twitter account had recently revealed two new pieces of concept art from the upcoming third season.

The first one is of extremely dislikable Gromflamite Prison General where Rick is being held after being captured and put in an Galactic Prison at end of season 2 finale.

?Look forward to disliking this guy. #season3 #productionart? the post reads along with a insect like creature dressed as prison guard.

The other showed Morty?s garage without Rick and his endless collection of diverse universe objects and as such is ?looking a little… Rickless.?

The Instagram post along with recent reveal of two new pieces of concept art from point towards a likelihood of the teaser being revealed soon enough. iDigital Times, who first reported the news said that the 12:15 timing places the Rick and Morty Season 3 teaser right after The Eric Andre Show early Saturday morning.

However, the August launch seems pretty unlikely as the production of the new series had just begun production last month.

The series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon too have been rather discreet about the Season 3 revealing nothing more than that the release is targeted for ?the end of this year? at Magic Con in January.

Fans expected a little more information at show?s San Diego Comic-Con event but the creators instead offered nothing more than a sneak peek animatic video. Another improvised mini-episode was shared by creators in an collaboration with Vulture a few days ago.

The Rick and Morty season 3 release can be expected sometime in October or late December 2016.
