Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is bringing back Claire Redfield portrayed by former ?Heroes? star Ali Larter after her absence in Resident Evil: Retribution.
Resident Evil Movie Director?Paul W.S. Anderson is said to be bringing back the character as a nice fit to end the infamous film, Cinemablend reported.
Although Redfield?s role for the final instalment of the film wasn?t disclosed, it is safe to assume that we will be seeing a Redfield who has been maltreated as we last saw the character being abducted along with her brother Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller) by the Umbrella Corporation, Cinema Blend reported.
An appearance of Chris however is yet to be disclosed as the actor is heavily invested in TV shows ?The Flash? and upcoming ?DC Legends of Tomorrow? who stars as Captain Cold. These restraints may mean that we may either not see a Chris appearance or a change in actor.
The latest game-turned film will be directed and written by Anderson. The movie will be following the events of?Retribution where Alice (Milla Jovovich) and Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) cooperates to fight a common foe.
The?zombie movie?franchise is not well received by the public, especially fans of the game, as the film opts for over-the-top action sequences as opposed to the games which focuses on tension and survival.?The recent video games from the franchise however has also opted to branch-out to the action packed route which started in Resident Evil 4.
All five released movies have been poorly rated with the latest released film, Resident Evil: Retribution, garnering an average score at?31 percent out of 100 at Rottentomatoes. The first film in 2002 got an average score of 33%, the second in 2004 with 21%, the third in 2007 at 22%, and the 2010 film at 23%.
Despite the terrible press from the media, the film still racks tons of profits as the latest entry earned nearly $240 million dollars at the box office worldwide. The entire movie franchise has?earned over $915 million at the global box office, Coming Soon reported.
The latest flick will hit theatres on September 2, 2016.
