The irrevocable truth has finally come out of Ali Larter as she announced that the sixth movie of the Resident Evil franchise will be their last. The supposedly final chapter of Resident Evil will bring back Claire Redfield, played by Ali Larter. The actress spoke to IGN about her upcoming horror film ?The Diabolical? and also talked about the subject of the Paul W.S. Anderson and how it will be the final series ender.
?How many movies have this kind of fanbase and get to be made six times?? Ali Larter said on an interview with IGN. ?I think that?s extraordinary. It?s a total testament to [series star] Milla [Jovovich] and Paul. I?m so grateful to them, that they chose me to be a part of it halfway through, and they?ve kept me along for the ride.?
Along with Ali Larter is the series star Milla Jovovich who has been in the cast since the first Resident Evil movie was produced. ?I love that it?s not seven men and one woman. I mean, these are two women, and they?re not competing with each other. You know, there are such easy clich?s these two could fall into, but this is definitely a female power movie,? Larter added, from IGN.
The actress apparently couldn?t disclose more information regarding the aspects of the movie. ?We are not allowed to say one thing,? Larter laughed. ?I am held to secrecy, but what I can tell you is that the script is amazing. They?re really wrapping up the whole series, so that just makes it a little more poignant,? she said in an interview with IGN.
?To be able to come back and reprise my role as Claire and my relationship with Alice, with Umbrella Corp. ? you know, I?m excited to get back in it. I think the fans are just going to be beyond excited.?
Resident Evil 6: The Final Chapter is set to release in January 27, 2017 which will star Milla Jovovich as she reprises her role as Alice. The final chapter to the Resident Evil franchise will definitely be a sweet ending as well as a sad goodbye.
