Gamers can already enjoy the Resident Evil 4 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The said title was originally released for Gamecube before it was eventually made available on PS3 and Xbox 360.

It was earlier reported that Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 will all be released on Playstation before the year ends. Those who had the chance to experience Resident Evil 4 would agree that the title features breathtaking visual style and effects.

As for the newest Resident Evil 7, viewers are not going to see all its original characters return. Matt Mercer, Leon’s voice actor, revealed that he is not returning for a cameo in the upcoming title.

Mercer previously admitted that Resident Evil 7 is scaling back a little bit when it comes to showcasing classic cameos. Such decision could be an apparent reason why the actor is not set to return.

Despite not being part of Resident Evil 7, Mercer managed to stay positive. He stated that he thinks it is also good for the game to begin an original story. It could also be an opportunity for the cast to re-establish their roots.

Mercer further shared that it is a crucial task to focus on a new direction. Doing so is essential in order to uphold the success of the series. Mercer?s most recent revelation about him leaving the game is certainly not good news for many fans.

If he will be given the chance in the near future, Mercer assured that he would still want to show up on Resident Evil or any of its future titles. This means his fans can still be hopeful about him being back any time.

Aside from that, another announcement that can make his fans happy is that Mercer will lend his voice to Leon again in the upcoming “Resident Evil: Vendetta?. It is slated to be released in 2017. The first time for Mercer to play the role of Leon was in Resident Evil 6.

It is also important to note that Mercer not being part of the next instalment does not necessarily mean that Leon is also not showing up. Through the years, a number of voice actors have portrayed the character. This means fans can still expect to see Leon in Resident Evil 7. The only difference is that he will be played by a different voice actor.
