The Reign Season 3 finale is just around the corner and it is expected to be extra thrilling as Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary will clash in the episode when the latter makes a daring move to defend her reign in Scotland.
It can be recalled that in the past few episodes of the TV series, Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane) was trying to get back to her homeland. However, to do so, she had to face different obstacles like the rival clan?s attack and the almost disappearance of the Scot monarchy.
The queen managed to overcome all the troubles and finally stepped on Scotland once more. But, it is quite a wrong timing for her return because Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) has already sent her English troops to invade the country.
Meanwhile, Mary will try her best to gather all the people of Scotland to stand against the English queen. As shown in the trailer, she will be delivering a passionate speech about Scotland being their land. She tells her people that England may spill blood, but they will never take the country that pounds in their vein.
As Queen Elizabeth orders her men to conquer Scotland, Queen Mary obviously will be there to defend her crown and her country against her cousin which will eventually lead to a war between the two queens and the two powerhouse lands. However, there are rumors stating that the battle would not even start in the upcoming Reign Season 3 finale.
According to Master Herald, there are critics who believe that the war will not be shown in the finale. Instead, the episode will feature the battle as a cliffhanger for Season 3 as well as a teaser for the fourth season of Reign, which is expected to return come this fall of 2016. But, keep in mind that these are just fan-based speculations and there is no assurance that it will be precise.
Aside from the battle between Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, fans also want to know what will happen to Bash in the finale. It was previously announced that the actor playing the role, Torrance Coombs, is going to leave the show to star in his own TV series on ABC titled Still Star-Crossed.
Whether he will be killed or not is still a mystery for the fans of the series. But, Coombs recently said that he is still open to the possibility of returning to the TV series in the future if the showrunners want him back. So, if that would be the case, then his character would probably not be killed in the upcoming Reign Season 3 finale.
Lola (Anna Popplewell), on the other hand, will be accused of a heinous crime and will suffer drastic consequences as a result of it, said Design & Trend. It can be recalled that the character received a message from Mary to kill Elizabeth. Is the accusation she will face related to that?
All of these questions will be answered once the Reign Season 3 finale airs Monday, June 20, on the CW at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
