More and more hints about the impending release of Red Dead Redemption 2 are dropping in similar fashion to the leaks a couple of months ago. Rockstar?s E3 2016 appearance was expected to be the home of the Red Dead sequel reveal, but it seems that the developer might opt to keep their announcement small. This new hint was recently dropped by Take-Two Interactive, the developer of the original Red Dead Redemption.
Take-Two Interactive recently released its most recent financial report. Part of the report includes a small chunk dedicated to Rockstar and it teases that it?s ?hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon.?
There?s no other rumored title for Rockstar aside from Red Dead Redemption 2. Considering that the game?s alleged map has been leaked a few months ago, it?s very possible that the future project that Take-Two Interactive was talking about is the sequel to the Western open-world title. It?s also possible that it could be a new IP for Rockstar, but we?re placing our bets that both companies won?t exert too much effort and resources on an untested title.
Part of the report also shows how busy Rockstar and Take-Two have been when it comes to the Red Dead Redemption series.
It notes that it ?made Red Dead Redemption available as part of Microsoft?s Xbox One Backward Compatibility program, enabling owners of the Xbox 360 versions of Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition to play the game on Xbox One. In addition, Red Dead Redemption is now available for purchase through digital download from the Games Store on Xbox One.?
While these are all rumors and speculations for now, there are a lot of signs pointing to a Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal, and its announcement may just be around the corner.
