Gamers around the world are eagerly waiting for the Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar?s sequel to its 2010 open-world action adventurer. Rockstar shared the first trailer for the game back in October revealing amazing graphics and introducing new changes.
Unfortunately, Sony announced the Red Dead Redemption 2 only for PS4 and Xbox One, leaving PC gamers disappointed. Fans, however, are petitioning Rockstar for the game to be made available on Microsoft Windows as well. The petition asks Rockstar to not deny PC gamers the chance to play ?an amazing game.? As of writing, the petition has accumulated more than 47,000 supporters.
Red Dead Redemption on PC
Though game developers have yet to respond to the huge PC gaming fan-base, reports indicate that the highly anticipated title can be expected for Windows 10. Fans may well remember that the original Red Dead Redemption debuted on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Sony lately announced great news for enthusiasts of PS4 and Xbox One. The 2010?s Red Dead Redemption launching for streaming service PlayStation Now makes it the first time that PS4 and Xbox One users got to play the title. Redemption is joined on Now by its excellent standalone expansion, Undead Nightmare. Both are playable on any platform that supports Now–PS4, PC, PS3, Vita, and other platforms.
With the previous installment of the series made available for PC, reports are optimistic that the 2017 Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be launched for the Windows platform. Some analysts expect the developers to release the game down the road sometime in 2018. Others say that similar to its predecessor, the upcoming game could feature through PS Now. Of course, nothing is set in stone as of now as no confirmation has been received from developers.
Red Dead Redemption PS Now
Coinciding with the release, Sony also announced that it is bringing back Now’s one-year subscription plan. Gamers can get 12 months of unlimited access to the service for as low as $100. This represents pretty substantial savings over the one-month ($20) and three-month ($45) plans.
For those unfamiliar, Sony?s PlayStation Now (PS Now) is a cloud gaming service. It allows gamers to access tons of games that were originally released for the PlayStation 3 consoles.
Red Dead Redemption 2 release date
Slated for Fall 2017, Red Dead Redemption 2?s release date remains shrouded in mystery. Reports, however, indicate that the popular sequel will be released sometime in November 2017. In an amusing incident, Sony ended up putting up the wrong release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PSN, pegging it for a November 23, 2016 release. It is entirely possible that the gamer revealed the release date for the upcoming year as the game could debut November 23, 2017.
