PSP Media Go Get Updated, Do We Care?

By on

Well, how should I progress with this post? Do people actually use this software to transfer games, music, movies or anything for that matter? I personally know that not one person that I hang out with, that owns a PSP, use the Media Go software. Let?s see what the update brings.

First off I would like to begin with a quote from Sony on the reason for using the Media Go software:

Media Go, the free PC application that enables PlayStation Network users to download content from PlayStation?Store to their PC, then to their PSP (PlayStation Portable) system. Media Go provides an easy-to-use solution for PSP owners to download and organize games, videos, and more.

I can?t argue that using Media Go for accessing your PSN downloads is a plus but that?s the best benefit. Sorry, I?m just referencing many of my PSP hardcore friends, I don?t care much for portable systems. After I read this report I had to call up a few buddies that use the PSP all the time, what I got from them was ?Oh Yeah? Cool, and?? I was crying with laughter.

I thought they would of jumped all over this. Guess I was hoping for a more positive response. Let?s take a look at the latest update.

– PC users in the United States with a registered PlayStation Network account can access and download a rich library of entertainment content from PlayStation?Store, including more than 20,000 popular TV episodes and movies in SD, as well as original entertainment content such as the PlayStation Network reality series, The Tester. Video content downloaded for rental or purchase can now be played on the PC and/or transferred to the PSP system to be taken on-the-go.

– Media Go can now queue up multiple items for download from PlayStation Store at one time.

– PSP users can download games and entertainment content to their PC without having their PSP connected (this excludes Themes).

– Downloaded content is transferred into each category of Media Go for convenient organization and management.

The features seem pretty dam good, if you ask me? But from what I hear their are far better software packages out on the net and most are for free as well. But, I?m here to give you the news and their you have it. Love it Hate it, download it and give it a try, what do you have to lose other than time.
