Those who’ve been saving up for a brand new PlayStation 4 should wait out until the holiday before getting one as the price of Sony’s console could drop. An analyst expects the price of both the PS4 and PS4 Pro to drop by a few dollars this coming holiday, and players could bag a good deal by waiting for a bit.

In a statement released to GamingBolt, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Patcher thinks that the PS4 and the PS4 Pro will have a decent price drop this holiday. More specifically, he predicts the price of the PS4 to drop down to $249 and the price of the PS4 Pro to drop to $349.

“I don’t think Microsoft is all that competitive. Xbox One S is priced the same as the PS4, and I don’t think they are competitive at all with the Xbox One X, currently priced at [$499, $100 more] than the PS4 Pro, and highly likely to be priced $150 more than the PS4 Pro by holiday,” speculates Patcher.

This isn’t the first time Patcher made a speculation regarding the price of the PS4 and PS4 Pro as he also guessed that the price of the PS4 will drop to $199.99 this year, but the price of the PS4 still remains the same. Another reason to remain skeptical on Pachter’s prediction is Sony’s statement that they aren’t going to drop the price of the PS4 Pro.

However, Microsoft’s Xbox One X is turning a few heads with it’s specs that make it worth getting. The device is touted as the most powerful console to date and Sony’s in a tight jam when the console releases. Though expensive, gamers could still opt to buy the powerhouse of a console.

The safest thing Sony could do to battle the sales of the Xbox One X is to simply lower the price of their consoles.
