The PS4 Platinum Wireless Headset has been awaited by gamers since it was first revealed last September 2016. However, it seems they are once again pushing back the release of the item.
Early January was supposed to be the PS4 Platinum Wireless Headset’s official release date. However, Amazon now lists that the headset is going to be sold on January 31, 2017. Considering this looks like a placeholder date, some are worried it might not even come out in January.
This news caused the patiently waiting gamers to once again feel disappointment. Especially those who have pre-ordered the item way back September of last year. The item was first revealed during the PS Meeting, where Sony announced the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim.
Furthermore, this device is the only accessory revealed at PS Meeting that has yet to be made available. The item was originally planned to launch sometime in Holiday 2016, however, it was then delayed to January 16. Other accessories announced at the PS Meeting include an updated DualShock4 contorller, an updated wireless PlayStation camera, new vertical stand (£16, approx. $19.44), and finally the Platinum wireless headset.
As seen on a Reddit post, gamers are fearing that the possible reason for the consecutive delays might have something to do with its manufacturing. They also feared that rushed production of the item might cause additional technical problems with the device.
Customers are also complaining that there is not enough communication on the part of PlayStation regarding the matter. If ever they would delay the release, adequate information to the consumer should be made.
Hopefully the people from Playstation would keep their word and finally release the device on January 16. For the latest gaming and tech news, make sure that you stay tuned to The BitBag.
