The PlayStation Plus free games has been announced today and while Sony has provided customers with notable indie games, many fans were disappointed that no AAA title was provided. Here are all the new PS Plus Free games this October 2015 courtesy of PS Blog:

  • Unmechanical Extended: PS4 and PS3
  • Kickbeat: PS Vita and PS3

Broken Age and Super Meat Boy are the best games offered by Sony this month. Broken age, a point and click episodic adventure game, has endeared critics and it currently has an average score of 81 on Metacritic. Super Meat Boy, a ?tough-as-nails? platformer which has an average score of 87 and 90 on PC and Xbox 360 respectively, will be marking its entry into Sony?s platforms this month. No AAA games

Sony fans felt expressed their disappointment that no AAA PS Plus free games were given even as rumors surfaced recently that Assassin?s Creed Black Flag will included in the free deals. There was?also a lack of free big games this September 2015 aside from Twisted Metal (PS3) as Sony offered mainly indie titles again including Grow Home (PS4), Super Time Force Ultra (PS4) , Xeodrifter (PS4/PS Vita), Teslagrad (PS4), and La Mulana EX (PS Vita).

Meanwhile, there was a better reception from Xbox Live Gold members for the free titles available on their platforms. Here are all the free titles for Microsoft?s service courtesy of Comingsoon: Valiant Hearts: The Great War, The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season, and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

Take note that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has already been freely given on PS Plus this June 2015. Episodes 1 and 2 of Telltale?s The Walking Dead were also freely given on Sony?s service back in August 2012.

Of course, not all free games on Sony?s service remain free forever. According to the PS Blog, these are the games that will leave Sony?s service on October 6:

  • Driveclub PS Plus Edition
  • Super Time Force Ultra
  • Twisted Metal
  • Teslagrad
  • Xeodrifter
  • La Mulana EX
