After Sony gave away a brand new title last month as part of their PlayStation Plus free games offering for July 2016, some subscribers have expected the same to happen next month. While everyone is waiting for Sony to announce their PS Plus free games for August 2016, Sony has announced the Play 2016 promotional event for PlayStation fans. This year, the company will be bringing four new PS4 games starting on July 26. The games will be launched each Tuesday until August 16.

With this announcement, Sony has debunked the possibility of four brand new titles to be included in the PS Plus free games for August lineup. On its official PlayStation blog, Sony has revealed the upcoming games, which are Headlander, Abzu, Brut@l and Bound.

All PlayStation Plus members are eligible for a 20 percent discount on pre-orders. While everyone can get these PS4-exclusive titles individually, those who pre-order two or more of these games by August 23 will get an additional 20 percent discount. The coupons cannot be used for future purchases on the PlayStation Store.

Pre-ordering any of the four games will net you an exclusive PS4 theme. Bound is the only game that has a dynamic theme while the other three only has static themes. ?

Despite this latest announcement, the company has not yet announced anything regarding the two brand new titles coming out on August 9. Sony did not include Emily Wants to Play and Blade Ballet in the Play 2016 promotional event. The two games are likely to be included in the PS Plus free games lineup for August as they are scheduled to launch on Sony?s first tuesday of the month, which is the day Sony gives away their free titles. While August 9 isn?t technically the first Tuesday of the month, this might be similar to June 2016 when the free games became available on the PlayStation Store on the 7th.

Sony will unveil the PS Plus free games for August by the end of this month. Until the company announces next month?s lineup, the four games in Play 2016 are enough to add fun to your weekends.
